The iron man of TV game shows, he hosted more than 25 of them in his long career, from Act It Out in 1949 to The Joker's Wild well into the '80s. But his greatest success was on the original version of this game-show classic, which debuted on NBC's daytime schedule in 1956 and had a healthy six-year run in prime-time. Bright, bespectacled and bow-tied, Cullen had the advantage of looking like an intellectual without actually having to be one. That made him the ideal Man for All Games.
